Blood donations are a big ask. Plasma donations even more so. Donors need to set aside more than an hour of their day every fortnight to have their blood removed, stripped of plasma and then returned. Needless to say that not many people are up for it, meaning donors are always needed. Despite a small budget, we grew the donor database by 20% in just seven months, four times more than the previous seven months.
I created bespoke hand-drawn lockups to hero plasma donors and their stories. The lockups were used on designs for a series of social content, display banners, eDMs and the New Zealand Blood Service Donor app. Posters and pull up banners were displayed at national donor centres and mobile blood drives around the country.
